Review: Koreadepart Haul

23:44

Today I am here to share another online shopping experience which is from Koreadepart. I know I have been purchasing a lot of K-beauty products lately from various site and my purse has shrink so much because I have spend quite some money on it. But still I cant resist to discover more online shopping site and get more K-beauty products.

Without any blabbering, let's get started.

Below is the timeline starting from ordering to receiving the parcel:

Order placed: 8th November
Confirmed payment made: 9th November
Parcel shipped from Korea: 11th November
Parcel received in Malaysia: 20th November

So eventually the whole process has taken 12 days from ordering to receiving the parcel. I would say that the days it took to receive is quite reasonable considered I am using registered airmail. Unlike the previous haul from testerkorea that took about 22 days to receive (click here to read my testerkorea haul), I would say purchasing from Koreadepart is actually quite efficient.

About the website, it is fairly easy to navigate. The website itself has a list of top selling item which you can refer to if you are out of thought that what should you get. Other than the overall top selling item list, the website also separate down top selling list for each categories. The website has a lot of on-going sales from time to time and the currency shown is in USD.

Koreadepart also have a rewarding system which once you create an account, you are able to earn points from your attendance. Also purchasing products and writing review on the products you purchase will earn you points as well. Then the points can be converted into credit to purchase products. For more information about the points system, please refer here. Of course if you dont bother about accumulating points for future usage, you can still made purchase without signing up as a member.

Koreadepart ships worldwide, but it divides into two different zone which is tariff shipping zone and fixed cost zone. Tariff shipping zone will have to pay the shipping fees according to the parcel weight and also the location of the country itself. While in the fixed cost zone, no matter how many products you purchase, the shipping fee will be charge in the same amount. For example, Malaysia is located in the fixed cost zone and the shipping fee is USD 5 per parcel for registered airmail. So no matter how many items I purchase, I just have to pay USD 5 for the shipping fee. However, purchaser from the fixed cost zone also need to be aware of the amount of money you purchase. Shipping fee is fixed but you might be charge for duty taxes from your respective country if you have gone over the limit.

There is still a few things from Koreadepart that I dislike. First of all, the manufacture date of the products are not 'fresh'. I have one of the item purchased from Koreadepart which is manufactured back in year 2013. Unlike testerkorea or althea korea, the products that received are the latest batch despite the products were on sale. I guess that is why Koreadepart has sale that is up to 80% off from normal price, simply because it is not a 'fresh' product.  Second, when Koreadepart post your parcel, it will have a list of items you purchased attached to the box. They will not declare a lesser amount nor listed it as a gift to send out the parcel to you. Thus you might have been charged with duty taxes.

When the parcel reached, it is a bit crumpled.

Open up the parcel, there is a lot of bubble wrap that secure and protect the products.

After removing the upper layer of bubble wrap, the products are arrange in a neat manner. There are also a packet of samples and a small box of cotton pad.

Now, lets take a lot of the products that I purchased from Koreadepart:

List of items purchased and price:
(Upper: From left to right)
1. Secret Key Starting Treatment Essence (Limited Edition)                USD 13.02
2. Chosungah Tinted Ampoule                                                                  USD 9.40
3. It's Skin Cotton Pad Box                                                                         Nil
(Lower: From left to right)
4. Free samples pack                                                                                   Nil
5. Innisfree Eco Beauty Tool Concealer Brush                                         USD 2.69
6. The FaceShop Rice Water Bright Cleasing Cream (400ml)               USD 8.05

Registered airmail shipping fee (fixed)                                                     USD 5.00
Total                                                                                                              USD 38.16

Conclusion

Pros:
1. Huge variety of products
2. Webpage easy to access and navigate
3. Provide fixed shipping fee for certain area regardless the weight
4. Rewards in points that can be accumulated
5. Fast shipping for registered airmail

Cons:
1. Products are not 'fresh' (manufacture date might be few years ago)
2. Does not declare lesser amount nor stated as gift to avoid duty taxes

Rating: 3.8/5
Repurchase? Maybe. But definitely not going after products which is in great sales. Chosungah Tinted Ampoule that I purchased has 80% off from original price but ended up the manufacture date was in year 2013 and Koreadepart didnt state the manufacture date nor expiry date.
